Fees

All of my services are charged at the same rate - $230 per hour. This is below the current APS recommended rate for psychological services.

Medico-legal services will be charged at a higher rate due to complexity. This will be quoted on an individual basis, depending on the situation.

Medicare

Clients with a valid mental health treatment plan from their GP can access a $93.35 rebate from Medicare.

Third Party Funding

Clients with TAC, Worksafe, DVA or NDIS funding will be required to pay a gap fee. This will be discussed with you when arranging your initial appointment.

Please note I am not registered as an NDIS provider, and can therefore only see self-managed or plan-managed clients. I am unable to see any agency managed clients.

If you have access to other third party funding, please raise this with me before our initial appointment.

Workshops

Fees for bespoke workshops will include preparation time. A quote for each service will be provided before booking, and will be dependent on your needs.

Therapy & Rehabilitation

Private Practice

I am registered as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and I hold endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology.

I provide therapeutic and rehabilitation services to adolescents and adults for a number of neuropsychological and psychological issues:

  • Persistent Concussion Symptoms

  • Concerns and worries about the long-term effects of concussion.

  • Sports Related Concussion

  • Functional Neurological Disorders, including Functional Seizures (clients need a confirmed diagnosis, unfortunately, I cannot provide diagnostic services for FND)

  • Persistent Dizziness (PPPD and MDDS)

  • Fatigue

  • Sleep Difficulties and Insomnia

  • Cognitive changes (attention, memory, brain fog, problem solving and organisational skills).

  • Whiplash and Persistent Pain

  • Headaches and Migraines

  • Chronic Stress and Trauma

  • Anxiety, Depression and Irritability

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. If your particular concern is not listed above, please contact me and we can explore if I can assist you or not. If not, I will always try to provide you with alternative services/options.

Neuropsychological Assessments

Neuropsychological assessments are one of the many tools a neuropsychologist may use to better understand your issue and work out the best way to help you. This is a specialised type of assessment that explores a client’s cognitive function, behaviour and emotions. This usually involves the completion of an interview, a pencil and paper based assessment of attention, processing speed, memory and executive functioning (e.g. planning, decision making, problem solving and mental flexibility), and the provision of feedback in the form of a 60 minute feedback session and a detailed written report.

There may be a number of reasons why you might be referred to undertake such an assessment, including for diagnostic purposes, to understand more about your cognitive strengths and weaknesses, for return to sport or work, or to receive an opinion about the underlying cause of cognitive or behavioural changes that either you, or someone else, has noticed.

At this stage, I have limited capacity to conduct in-depth neuropsychological assessments for diagnostic purposes. However, in some instances, a neuropsychological assessment may be indicated and may assist with treating your particular issue. In these cases, I may discuss the utility of an assessment with you and recommend that we complete one.

Epworth HealthCare

In addition to my private practice, I hold two roles at Epworth HealthCare. My work at Epworth has provided the backbone to my expertise in helping to support clients in a rehabilitation context.

To be referred to our service, please obtain a doctors referral. The above link will take you to our clinic page, where your doctor can download and complete the referral form.

We specialise in the treatment of all persistent concussion symptoms, but I have developed a particular interest in providing rehabilitation for the following issues following a concussion:

  • Cognitive symptoms

  • Dizziness - PPPD and MDDS

  • Sleep Difficulties

  • Anxiety, depression and irritability

Epworth Functional Neurological Disorders (FND) Clinic

I have been working in the FND clinic since its inception in 2021 and have co-lead the psychology team during this time. The FND clinic is a multi-disciplinary service that runs for eight weeks. We specialise in the treatment of a range of functional disorders and functional symptoms. For a referral, please ask your doctor to complete the referral form located at the link above. Please note that we only accept referrals for clients with a confirmed diagnosis of FND and a letter from either a neurologist, a neuropsychiatrist or a neuropsychologist will need to be provided before acceptance into the clinic.

I have developed a particular interest in the treatment of functional neurological disorders, and have recently completed training delivered by FND Australia and Matthew Richardson (Richardson 2018).
